Do you have a video of how to make pad kee mao aka drunken noodles? It's my favorite. I would also like to know how to make the large flat noodles not to curl up after you cook them.

I use the big heavy granite mortar and pestle from Chatuchak market to grind the roasted rice!

Thailand Laos makes it different. I put ginger, kiffer lime leaves, bpadag, bile, and the meat is not that grounded. I like the raw ones,soo good and a little bitter too... no lime though.

@Nefarioso: Please, how long and at what temperature do you roast the rice? Must you stir from time to time or "set it and forget it"? Many thanks! I love Larb -- much healthier than McDonalds! :-)))

@Laogal: Yes, I read on Wikipedia that this is really a Laotian dis that caught on and became adapted regionally in neighboring areas. Very interesting about the rice. Thanks for the tip! |
